Dr. Punsiri Gunathilaka is a highly skilled obstetrician and gynaecologist with over 14 years of extensive clinical experience. He completed his training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology both in Australia and overseas (Sri Lanka), honing his expertise in managing a wide range of obstetric and gynaecological conditions.
Prior to gaining his overseas specialist qualification, Punsiri spent two years of advanced training at Hervey Bay Hospital in Queensland. He subsequently advanced his skills as a Provisional Fellow in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Campbelltown Hospital, NSW, where he specialised in advanced laparoscopic gynaecology. He achieved Fellowship with the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG), a testament to his dedication and expertise in the field.
Punsiri has been actively involved in teaching and research, served as an Associate Lecturer at the Rural Clinical School of the University of Queensland. His work has been featured in peer-reviewed medical journals, and he has presented at several esteemed scientific conferences.
His clinical interests include managing high-risk pregnancies and treating a range of benign gynaecological conditions using a combination of medical and minimally invasive surgical techniques.
Punsiri currently works as a Specialist at Campbelltown Public and Campbelltown Private Hospitals, where he provides comprehensive care in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in the Public setting. At Artemis Women’s Health, he only offers specialised gynaecological services.
Beyond his professional commitments, Punsiri enjoys spending time with his family and friends and exploring new destinations through travel.
